Julien Lagueste
Julien Lagueste, artist-designer, grew up in La Trinité sur Mer on the Atlantic coast of France. After studying architecture in Paris and obtaining a degree in interior architecture in Lyon, he moved to Nantes and opened his own studio.
After learning to work with wood and resin on a self-taught basis, a collection of coffee tables inspired by his childhood was born: “Souvenir des îles”. These creations are designed like sculptures, with finely cut woods and uniquely colored resins cast and worked by hand.
My tables are at once a piece of furniture, a sculpture and a painting,” says Julien, who draws his inspiration from the organic shapes of eroded stone and the infinite nuances of the ocean.
‘Les Glénan’ is exhibited at the Biennale Révélations 2025 at the Grand Palais in Paris — Stand K8 From 21 to 25 May 2025
