Nathalie Junod Ponsard
Nathalie Junod Ponsard creates installations and art works with light that transform spaces and tend to destabilise our usual reference points. The artist has exhibited in national museum and took part in international exhibitions: Singapore Biennale, Galerie Guggenheim (Los Angeles), Luce di Pietra in Palazzo Farnese (Rome), Galerie des Gobelins, Festival de France in India, French May and Fringe Festival in Hong Kong, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Bauhaus in Dessau (Germany), 1st Nuit Blanche in Paris (Pontoise swimming pool), museo Palaexpo Rome, Gaité Lyrique (Paris), Modern Art Gallery-Ural Museum in Yekaterinburg (Russia), Foundation EDF in Paris, museums of contemporary art MOCA and Luxelakes A4 (Chengdu, China), Basilica Saint-Denis (commissioned by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux), Musée de la Chasse et Nature in Paris, Inner Mongolia Art Museum in Hohhot (Mongolia) or recently the Licht Kunst Biennal in Hildesheim, Germany. She represented France for the Western China Biennale in 2017.
Nathalie Junod Ponsard has created and realised permanent and monumental works: public commissions from the Ministère de la Culture and CNAP on place Malraux, on the Galerie des Gobelins in Paris (a commission by Mobilier national), at the Pompidou Centre, Europe-Simone Veil Square for the City of Paris, ENSAV Versailles, museo dell’Arte Contemporanea MACRO and Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, and private works on the Austerlitz building, Paris. Her light works exist throughout sites of a great variety, indoors and outdoors, on the Maison Hermès, on the astronomical site Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, the Jetée des Pâquis on Geneva Lake, the Delacroix Gallery in Tangiers, Calcutta Jadavpur University and the Maison Louis Carré near Paris. Some works have been acquired by the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain (FNAC), by the Mobilier National and by the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP). In China, the contemporary Art museum MOCA presented a retrospective of her work.
