Jory Pradelle
Jory Pradelle studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After graduating, he turned to sculpture, to which he devoted himself for some twenty years, producing numerous works in bronze and carved stone. In 1990 he discovered tapestry and immediately became fascinated by this mode of expression and creation, halfway between tradi- tional crafts and painting. He then concentrated on colour and the structure of the composition in the space of the carpets he created. In this way, the shapes of the rugs often escape the frame in unstructured geometries. Little by little, Jory Pradelle developed a collection of around a hundred contemporary handmade rugs in natural materials. Now based in Aubusson, he devotes his artistic life to the world of carpets, acquiring all the skills required, one by one, from design to the final finishing touch.
Such a passion was one day to open the doors of the PINTON workshops, which weave the car- pets of this artist who never ceases to push back the boundaries of his expertise.
