Jory Pradelle
Jory Pradelle studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After graduating, he turned to sculpture to which he dedicated himself for twenty years, giving birth to many bronze and carved stone pieces. In 1990 he discovered tapestry and developed an immediate passion for this means of expression and creation that stands at the crossroad between traditional craftsmanship and painting. In his rug designs, he focuses on colour and on the structure of the composition in space. The shapes often run beyond the frame, producing loose geometric figures. Over time, Jory Pradelle developed a collection of around a hundred contemporary handmade rugs using natural materials.
Established in Aubusson, he dedicates his artistic life to the world of rugs, progressively learning all the specific skills, from drawing to the falling off the loom. Naturally, such a passion opened the doors of the PINTON workshops, who weave the rugs of this artist who is constantly pushing the limits of his expertise.
