“PalermoUno was founded in 2018 by Sophie Wannenes, who decided to transform her studio into a 150 sqm apartment and gallery, a space where antique, modern and contemporary pieces are merged.
The gallery was founded in Brera Design District and is now moving to a much bigger location in the 5VIE art+design district. Every year during the Milan Design week PalermoUno welcomes more than 10,000 visitors. In September 2020, Sophie and PalermoUno moved into a brand-new location – a 350 sqm shop in the heart of 5 Vie Art + Design district.
The windows display show a sophisticated apartment in which the main role is played by the surfaces that take shape through the details of colored wallpapers, fabrics, resin floors, ceramic, terracotta, glass lamps, handmade wool carpets and a variety of contemporary furniture, all selected with care after a long and detailed research.
A place that takes the visitor to a journey into different design worlds and materials.”
